People have a right to be tried by their own piers. That means the people are the judges. People have a right to defend themselves and they are the best defense of themselves and their own worst enemy if they are guilty. The job of the lawyer is to hide the truth. The job of the judge is to set the rules. In a nation where the law is fixed with absolute right and wrong, simple enough for all to understand, and everyone studies the entire constitution and laws in the schools, there is not need for lawyers or judges. People want to be judged by their own and not by people who can be bought off or who develop friendships with lawyers.

In most systems consideration is given to punish the guilty but not to helping the victim. The Bible says that if a man steels or cheats another out of one dollar, he must repay five dollars. I similar system would help the victim of crime.

There must be an organized system with paid staff to regulate the courts and to keep things in order, but the people themselves should judge and sentence within the law. Every trial should be close enough to the crime so that the judges know those involved - the victim and the accused.

Frivolous lawsuits will be eliminated if those who loose a case have to pay back to the government all costs for the trial including paying the judges and any costs the winner incurs. Records of the trials will be strictly video taps.

In an appeal to the Holy Father or the King the video tap will be sent along with any new evidence. But neither the convicted or the victim will go to the Holy Father or the King unless invited.
