Years ago nations gained power and wealth by going to war with other lands and placing the people under their thumb as slaves and/or new peoples to tax. By conquering other lands they also gained the natural resources of that land, like oil, gold, jewels, etc. This is how England became so wealthy and powerful. Today power hungry people and nations do the same thing except not with war. They do it with money.

They put out a great temptation to the politicians of a nation of hundreds of millions of dollars at low interest rates and a few little minor conditions. These minor conditions guarantee that the nation cannot pay back the money. Not a problem, for when they cannot pay back the money, the lender simply takes in exchange ownership of the water supply or the electrical companies, or the oil reserves.

When a nation goes into debt to its own people, it is not a major problem. But when it goes into debt to other nations or people outside the country there is no way to win because wealth leaves the nation and independence is lost.

Even trade can be abused by countries that do not respect fair business practice. Examples are Japan, who claims to have equal trade, but then bogs down shipments into their country with red tape and stall tactics until those trying to sell in Japan give up. China uses government money and slave labor to make products for export and then restricts imports to only 25% of exports so that they have huge excess in money coming into the nation to build up their armies and to oppress their people.

I believe in free trade with not tariffs, but that trade must be equal. If they red tape imports, I would red tape imports. If they want to sell products made from slave labor, I would not buy them. If they sell me a million dollars of products, they must buy a million dollars of products.

There is no reason for a Nation under God to resort to violence except in self defense or in the defense of its citizens when traveling abroad. The best way to protect a nations citizens is for the entire world to know we will never negotiate with terrorists for any reason whatsoever, and will not even talk with them. We will, however, go anywhere in the world to get our people back by force if taken illegally or by force. The international slave trade in woman and babies is growing day by day in the 21^st century. They must know we will go after them if they try this in our Nation. There are also many types of extremists who hate Catholics, and they must know we will never give in to any terrorism and when tried we will respond with force.

The greatest defense of any nation is first and foremost being a threat to no one. Second letting the world know that attacking this Nation will cost them more than they can gain. History shows that the best and cheapest way to do this is with arms citizens trained to come to the aid of their Nation at a moments notice.
