The only thing worse than a bad government is anarchy. Anarchy is seen today in Somalia where the warlords control large sections of the country and no one can overcome them. Government in truth does not exist in Somalia. The worst governments in history have been dictators like Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and 86 more just in the 20^th century. Unlike kings or Emperors who had the support of the people, dictators took control of a country by force of arms. How is it that two things have happened in the 20^th century that almost never happened before in the history of the world: anarchy and dictatorships?

Prior to the 20^th century there never was a nation where the people were not armed. Maybe they were not professional soldiers but they all had some kind of weapon. In the 19^th, 20^th centuries someone came up with the stupid idea that only armies and government police forces should have arms. When they were able to take away from the people the right to bear arms, almost 90 dictatorships were born in only 40 years. Kings did not fear small groups of people who went against the crown because they had large armies, but if all the people went against the crown they could not defend themselves because the people were all armed. In essence the kings had to please at least most of the people to maintain power.

Any society is where people live in peace together, and they join in that society because they can live better together than apart. They help each other in production and in defense. In essence society is good for the common good, but not always for the individual. The individual must give way to what is best for the majority even if it is not what he wants. Seeking the major good for the most people is what society is all about. Governments are a way to find the common good for the most people and to keep that peace. So governments are for the people and not for the leaders. That being the case, the power should always rest in the people.

In a government designed by God as much as possible and ruled by written law, and administered by the elect, and vetoed by the Holy Father, how can we say that a government is in the power of the people? There is only one way. In order for the people to have the final say, the people must have the ultimate power. This power is in the power of arms. The right to bear arms is the only thing that can guarantee that the government fears the people and that the people do not fear the government. The government would have the power to protect itself from small groups of people but never from a majority of the people. This right to bear arms is the only protection people have against governments.

 A man is not a man because his sex organs are different from a woman. We all know men who are effeminate and the bible rejects effeminate men more than 30 times. Men are brave, honorable, self sacrificing, loyal and trustworthy. Man was made this way by God so that he could be the protector, the provider, and the leader of a family and/or tribe. Men are not corruptible because they have honor and pride. A man will die for his family and his honor. An oppressive government must get rid of real men. To control a society in such a way that you have obedient little sheep, you must destroy manhood.

This is not just my thinking but it was actually written by communist propagandists in the 1940s. The three things that made a man - the protector, the provider, and the leader of a family, had to be destroyed. First that had to take away a mans right to protect his own family. They did this by disarming him and making it against the law to protect himself. They gave this right to the police. Even if he used nothing but self-defense he could go to jail. Nor does he have the right to protect his own property in many counties. Next his role as provider had to be taken away. This was done by putting all woman to work and making it almost impossible for a single person to provide for a family and buy a home. Next they took away his right as the head of the household. They did this by making all equal under the law and in fact gave all rights to the woman regarding children, property, and education. In the end man had not rights at all. He was no longer a man. Without the power to be a man most became effeminate thinking this is that right thing to do. The destruction of manhood starts with the removal of his right to bear arms.

At the time of what we today call cavemen, men though small conquered all of nature, including dinosaurs, lions, and even tamed elephants for their own use. They did this by using their brains which told them to take up arms to equalize themselves with the big teeth of the tiger and the lion. A weapon is the first example of man's use of intelligence. When governments took away from man the right to a weapon they left him open to many psychological problems he would never otherwise have. The strong boys, even those without brains, became the bullies of the smaller or weaker boys. Women started admiring men who were big and strong instead of men who were brave and smart. When all were armed the large had not advantage over the smart.

Once the President of Communist Russia was asked if he would ever invade America. He laughed and said that even if he was able to take down the government and the army what would he do with the 2-1/2 million guns in the hands of the people. They would eat his army alive in time.

There are two nations in the world today that have never been conquered by outside forces. One has been around for many years - Switzerland, and the other only a few decades - Israel. In both cases every citizen is armed.

A pure Catholic nation whether big or small will have many who want to eliminate it. It could never defend itself against anyone without the help of God. However, if an nation knew that every single one of the citizens of that nation was well armed, that nation would think twice about any attempt at invasion. It is the greatest way the world to prevent war. Assume a nation has only 10 million people but that 10 million people have 10 million weapons. Should I say more.

Vengeance is a sin, but defending yourself, your children, your wife, your nation, your Church or even your honor is an obligation. You have only to read the bible to see this, as God commanded many wars. O yes, you will say that is only the old testament. Not so!

In Luke 22:36 Christ said, "But now he that has a purse, let him take it and likewise a scrip; and he that his not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword. For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me. And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end."

But they said: "Lord, behold here are two swords."

And He said to them, "It is enough."

In the Bull "Unam Sanctam 1302" the Pope explains this passage of Scripture to be the sword of the Church, the word, and the sword of the King to protect the Church and the people. And this has been true down through the ages especially in the knights, like the Templars. Not until the 20^th century has the idea of a passive Christian ever existed. No Christian is worthy of his name if he is not willing to fight and to die for his faith. Passive Christian? Just another word for coward.
